The United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board (Board) will hold its first meeting with the newly appointed Secretary of Commerce on Friday, March 31, 2017. The Board was re-chartered in August 2015 and advises the Secretary of Commerce on matters relating to the U.S. travel and tourism industry. During the meeting, the Secretary of Commerce will provide an overview of the Administration's policy priorities with respect to the travel and tourism sector, and the Board will discuss key issues impacting travel and tourism companies. The Board will also deliberate on and may adopt recommendations related to travel security and the customer experience, visa facilitation, key market engagement, and research. The final agenda will be posted on the Department of Commerce Web site for the Board at http://trade.gov/ttab, at least one week in advance of the meeting.
