    The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) submitted the

Title: Request for shipment of commodities for Foreign Distribution 
(Foreign Government)
Purpose: Public Law 480 states that the President may utilize nonprofit 
voluntary agencies (PVOs) registered with and approved by the USAID in 
furnishing food commodities to needy persons outside the Untied States. 
The USAID Form No. 1550-4 is an instrument by which the PVOs 
communicate their specific needs in this regard to the U.S. Government. 
This form is used by eligible PVOs to request food commodities for 
approved country programs overseas and to furnish delivery instructions 
and other information necessary to ship these commodities to 
destination ports.
