Pacific Interstate Offshore Company; Notice of Proposed Changes 
in FERC Gas Tariff

September 4, 1996.
    Take notice that on August 30, 1996, Pacific Interstate Offshore 
Company (PIOC) tendered for filing to be part of its FERC Gas Tariff, 
Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheet, with a 
proposed effective date of October 1, 1996:

Third Revised Sheet No. 6

    PIOC states the purpose of this filing is to set forth the 
applicable Annual Charge Adjustment (ACA) surcharge of .20 cents per 
MMBtu, effective October 1, 1996.
    PIOC states that a copy of this filing has been served on PIOC's 
sole customer, the Southern California Gas Company and the Public 
Utilities Commission of the State of California and other interested 
parties.
    Any person desiring to be heard or protest said filing should file 
a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory 
Commission, 888 First Street NE., Washington, DC 20426, in accordance 
with Rules 211 or 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and 
Procedure. All such motions or protests must be filed as provided in 
Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriation action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the 
proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to 
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection.
