NorAm Gas Transmission Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in 
FERC Gas Tariff

April 4, 1996.
    Take notice that on April 1, 1996, NorAm Gas Transmission Company 
(NGT) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Fourth 
Revised Volume No. 1, the following revised tariff sheets, to be 
effective April 1, 1996:

Fourth Revised Sheet No. 233
First Revised Sheet No. 7
First Revised Sheet Nos. 8-11

    NGT states that these revised tariff sheets are filed to give NGT 
the ability to negotiate rates as provided for by the Commission in the 
Policy Statement. In addition, NGT is filing tariff sheets related to 
specific negotiated rate transactions.
    Any person desiring to be heard or protest the proposed tariff 
sheets should

file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Rules 214 and 211 of the Commission's Rule of 
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.214, 385.211). All such motions or 
protests must be filed on or as provided in Section 154.210 of the 
Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission 
in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve 
to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public 
inspection.
