Supplementary Information

The National Electric and Magnetic Fields Advisory Committee advises the Department of Energy and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) on the design and implementation of a five-year, national electric and magnetic fields research and public information dissemination program. The Secretary of Energy, pursuant to section 2118 of the Energy Policy Act of 1992, Pub. L. 102-486, has overall responsibility for the national program which includes health effects research, development of technologies to mitigate any adverse human health effects, and dissemination of information.

Requests must be received 5 days prior to the meeting and reasonable provision will be made to include the presentation on the agenda. Depending on the number of requests, comments may be

limited to five minutes. The Designated Federal Officer is empowered to conduct the meeting in a fashion that will facilitate the orderly conduct of business. Minutes: A transcript and minutes of this meeting will be available for public review and copying at the Public Reading Room, 1E-190, Forrestal Building, 1000 Independence Avenue, SW., Washington DC 20585, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday except on Federal holidays. Copies of the minutes will also be available by request.
