ARCO, dba ARCO Exploration and Production Technology (AEPT) 
Plano, TX; Notice of Affirmative Determination Regarding Application 
for Reconsideration

    By letter of April 5, 1999, the petitioners requested 
administration reconsideration of the Department of Labor's Notice of 
Negative Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker 
Adjustment Assistance, applicable to petition number TA-W-35,449A. The 
denial notice was signed on February 24, 1999 and will soon be 
published in the Federal Register.
    The petitioners allege that the workers at ARCO Exploration and 
Production Technology (AEPT) are engaged in domestic exploration of oil 
and gas and provided information for consideration which was not 
provided during the original investigation.

Conclusion

    After careful review of the application, I conclude that the claim 
is of sufficient weight to justify reconsideration of the Department of 
Labor's prior decision. The application is, therefore, granted.
