Williams Gas Pipeline Central, Inc.; Notice of Proposed Changes 
in FERC Gas Tariff

January 20, 1999.
    Take notice that on January 14, 1999, Williams Gas Pipelines 
Central, Inc. (Williams), tendered for filing to become part of its 
FERC Gas Tariff, Original Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheets:

Effective January 1, 1999

First Revised Third Revised Sheet No. 6
First Revised Sixth Revised Sheet No. 6A
Second Substitute Second Revised Sheet No. 38
Second Substitute First Revised Sheet No. 39

Effective February 1, 1999

Substitute Fourth Revised Sheet No. 6
Substitute Seventh Revised Sheet No. 6A

    Williams states that on December 1, 1998, as revised December 11, 
1998 and December 18, 1998, it made a filing to recover through an 
alternative mechanism any GSR costs not recovered through the mechanism 
set forth in Article 14.2 of its tariff. By order issued December 30, 
1998, the Commission approved the recovery of these costs, but directed 
Williams to file a reservation surcharge recovery mechanism. The 
instant filing is being made in compliance with the order.
    Williams states that a copy of its filing was served on all 
participants listed on the service list maintained by the Commission in 
the docket referenced above and on all of Williams' jurisdictional 
customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed as 
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests 
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
the proceedings. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission 
and are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
