Commercial Fishing Industry Vessel Advisory Committee

AGENCY: Coast Guard, DOT.

ACTION: Notice of charter renewal.

SUMMARY: The Secretary of Transportation has renewed the charter for 
the Commercial Fishing Industry Vessel Advisory Committee (CFIVAC) to 
remain in effect for a period of 2 years from December 10, 1998, until 
December 10, 2000. CFIVAC is a federal advisory committee constituted 
under 5 U.S.C. App. 2. Its purpose is to provide advice and make 
recommendations to the Coast Guard on the safe operation of commercial 
fishing vessels.
