Mississippi Canyon Gas Pipeline, LLC; Proposed Changes in FERC 
Gas Tariff

July 7, 1999.
    Take notice that on July 1, 1999, Mississippi Canyon Gas Pipeline, 
LLC (Mississippi Canyon) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas 
Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, tariff sheets listed in Appendix B 
to the filing, with a proposed effective date of August 1, 1999.
    Mississippi Canyon states that the purpose of this filing is to 
comply with Part 284 of the Commission's Regulations and Order No. 587-
K issued April 2, 1999, in Docket No. RM96-1-011. In Order No. 587-K, 
the Commission adopted version 1.3 of Gas Industry Standards Board 
consensus standards. Version 1.3 updated and improved the standards, 
with the principal changes occurring in the areas of confirmation 
practices, further standardization of the information provided on 
pipeline Internet web sites, and revisions to the data sets. The tariff 
sheets filed herein reflect version 1.3 standards adopted by the 
Commission.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street NE., Washington, DC 20426 in 
accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's Rules 
and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must 
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection. This filing may be
