Comments must comply with 15 CFR 301.5(a)(3) and (4) of the regulations and be filed within 20 days with the Statutory Import Programs Staff, U.S. Department of Commerce, Washington, DC 20230. Application may be examined between 8:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in Room 4211, U.S. Department of Commerce, 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Docket Number: 99-018. Applicant: University of California at Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA 93106. Instrument: Electron Microscope, Model JEM-1230. Manufacturer: JEOL Ltd., Japan. Intended Use: The instrument is intended to be used to carry out research objectives during studies of the following: (1) Adult and Developing Visual System, (2) Age Related Macular Degeneration, (3) Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms in Retinal Detachment, (4) Molecular Structure and Function of Tau Protein, (5) Mechanism of Action of the Anti-tumor Drug Taxol, (6) Dispersion Patterns for Retinal Neuroblasts, (7) Development and Anatomy of the Nematode C. elegans.
