Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request

    The Department of Commerce (DOC) has submitted to the Office of 
Management and Budget (OMB) for clearance the following proposal for 
collection of information under the provisions of the Paperwork 
Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
    Agency: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
    Title: Beluga Whale Harvest Report.
    Agency Form Number: None.
    OMB Approval Number: 0648-0382.
    Type of Request: Extension of a currently approved collection.
    Burden: 5 hours.
    Number of Respondents: 10
    Avg. Hours Per Response: 30 minutes.
    Needs and Uses: The National Marine Fisheries Service requires 
Alaskan Natives who harvest beluga whales in Cook Inlet to report 
certain information and to submit the labeled jawbones on the whales 
taken. The information will be used to evaluate the health and 
stability of this stock and to construct a management regime that will 
provide for a sustainable subsistence harvest by Alaskan Natives.

    Frequency: On occasion.
