Federal Communications Commission.
Action
Final rule; petition for reconsideration.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary
This document denies a petition for reconsideration of the Report and Order, 62 FR 66030 (December 17, 1997), in this proceeding that allotted Channel 221A to Amherst, New York, as that community's first local FM service. The proposal decision to add the channel to Amherst was preferred over adding the same channel to Lockport, New York, because the Amherst allotment provides local service to a community that has four times the population of Lockport.
EFFECTIVE DATE: October 13, 1999.
