Iroquois Gas Transmission System, L.P.; Notice of Proposed 
Changes In FERC Gas Tariff

October 5, 1999.
    Take notice that on September 30, 1999, Iroquois Gas Transmission 
System, L.P. (Iroquois) tendered for filing to become part of its FERC 
Gas Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, Twenty-Fourth Revised Sheet No. 
4. The proposed effective date of this revised tariff sheet is November 
1, 1999.
    Iroquois states that pursuant to Part 154 of the Commission's 
regulations and Section 12.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of its 
tariff, it is filing Twenty-Fourth Revised Sheet No. 4 and supporting 
workpapers as part of its annual update of its Deferred Asset Surcharge 
to reflect the annual revenue requirement associated with its Deferred 
Asset for the amortization period commencing November 1, 1999. Iroquois 
states that the revised tariff sheet reflects a decrease of $.0001 per 
Dth in Iroquois effective Deferred Asset Surcharge for Zone 1 of $.0001 
per Dth (from $.0008 to $.0007 per Dth), a decrease of 4.0001 per Dth 
in Iroquois effective Deferred Asset Surcharge for Zone 2 of $.0001 per 
Dth (from $.0006 to $.0005 per Dth) and a decrease in the Inter-Zone 
surcharge of $.0002 per Dth (from $.0014 to $.0012 per Dth).
    Iroquois states that copies of its filing were served on all 
jurisdictional

customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's 
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must 
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room. This filing may be viewed on the web at
