Notice of Intent to consider amending the Bishop Resource
Management Plan (RMP) decision relating to season of use on the Marble Creek Allotment (#6025), Mono County, CA.

Summary
The Marble Creek allotment lies on the alluvial fans on the west side and at the foot of the White Mountains, in the ``Tri-Valley'' area of Mono County, north of Bishop. It includes approximately 15,700 acres of public land. The current number of AUMs for the allotment is 845. At this time, there is no proposal to change the number of AUMs. The current season of use is year round. The proposal is to consider eliminating summer grazing. Sustained summer grazing may be inappropriate due to the vegetation, soils and climate of the allotment.
Supplementary Information: Final determination on the RMP amendment will be made using an environmental analysis following public comments.
