FCC To Hold Open Commission Meeting Thursday, November 18, 1999

    The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on 
the subjects listed below on Thursday, November 18, 1999, which is 
scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m. in Room TW-C305, at 445 12th Street, 
S.W., Washington, D.C.

2............................  Common Carrier.............  Title: Deployment of Wireline Services Offering
                                                             Advanced Telecommunications Capability (CC Docket
                                                             No. 98-147); and Implementation of the Local
                                                             Competition Provisions of the Telecommunications
                                                             Act of 1996.
                                                            Summary: The Commission will consider a Third Report
                                                             and Order in CC Docket No. 98-147 and a Fourth
                                                             Report and Order in CC Docket 96-98 concerning the
                                                             availability and deployment of advanced services
                                                             and the application of Section 251 to advanced
                                                             services.
3............................  Wireless Telecommunications  Title: Revision of the Commission's Rules to Ensure
                                                             Compatibility with Enhanced 911 Emergency Calling
                                                             Systems (CC Docket No. 94-102, RM-8143).

                                                            Summary: The Commission will consider a Second
                                                             Memorandum Opinion and Order concerning petitions
                                                             for reconsideration and clarification of the
                                                             wireless E911 rules.
4............................  Office of Engineering and    Title: Principles for Reallocation of Spectrum to
                                Technology.                  Encourage the Development of Telecommunications
                                                             Technologies for the New Millennium.
                                                            Summary: The Commission will consider a Policy
                                                             Statement concerning spectrum management for the
                                                             new millennium.
