Summary
The National Park Service published a notice in the Federal Register of November 3, 1998, (63 FR 59328) concerning the availability of the Final General Management Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement (GMP/EIS) for Isle Royale National Park. The Environmental Protection Agency's notice of availability for this document appeared in the Federal Register dated November 6, 1998 (63 FR 59988). The Final EIS circulated in association with these notices inadvertently did not include the cover sheet as required by 40 CFR 1502.11. The omission may have resulted in lack of clarity about where to send comments or about the due date for those comments. Accordingly, the National Park Service is reannouncing the availability of the Final GMP/EIS, and is reinitiating the no action period for review of the EIS as required by 40 CFR 1506.10(a)(2).
Dates
The required no action period for review of the Final GMP/EIS will end 30 days after the Environmental Protection Agency has again listed the availability of the document (with cover sheet) in the Federal Register. A record of decision will follow the no action period.

Supplementary Information
No changes have been made to the Final GMP/ EIS since originally made available on November 3, 1998. Only a cover sheet has been added to the document. The Final GMP/EIS presents five alternatives for future management of Isle Royale National Park. The draft plan was on review in April and May 1998. This final plan incorporates comments made during that public review.
