SUMMARY: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship 
and Immigration Services (USCIS) will be submitting the following 
information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget 
(OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the Paperwork 
Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection notice was previously 
published in the Federal Register on April 27, 2016 at 81 FR 24865, 
allowing for a 60-day public comment period. USCIS did receive 1 
comment in connection with the 60-day notice.

DATES: The purpose of this notice is to allow an additional 30 days for 
public comments. Comments are encouraged and will be accepted until 
December 27, 2016. This process is conducted in accordance with 5 CFR 
1320.10.

the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the 
methodology and assumptions used;

Overview of This Information Collection

Change, of a Currently Approved Collection.
    (2) Title of the Form/Collection: Request for Verification of 
Naturalization.

DHS sponsoring the collection: N-25; USCIS.
    (4) Affected public who will be asked or required to respond, as 
well as a brief abstract: Primary: State, local or Tribal Government. 
This form will allow U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) 
to obtain verification from the courts that a person claiming to be a 
naturalized citizen has, in fact, been naturalized.
    (5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount 
of time estimated for an average respondent to respond: The estimated 
total number of respondents for the information collection N-25 is 
1,000 and the estimated hour burden per response is .25 hours.
    (6) An estimate of the total public burden (in hours) associated 
with the collection: The total estimated annual hour burden associated 
with this collection is 250 hours.
