ACTION: Notice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on February 28, 2018, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Canon Inc. of Japan; Canon U.S.A. Inc. of Melville, New York; and Canon Virginia, Inc. of Newport News, Virginia. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain toner cartridges and components thereof by reason of infringement of U.S. Patent No. 9,746,826 (``the '826 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,836,021 (``the '021 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,841,727 (``the '727 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,841,728 (``the '728 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,841,729 (``the '729 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,857,764 (``the '764 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,857,765 (``the '765 patent''); U.S. Patent No. 9,869,960 (``the '960 patent''); and U.S. Patent No. 9,874,846 (``the '846 patent''). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainants request that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a general exclusion order, or in the alternative a limited exclusion order, and cease and desist orders.
