Airworthiness Directives are regulations issued to require corrective action to resolve an unsafe condition in aircraft, engines, propellers, and appliances. Reports of inspections are often needed when emergency corrective action is taken to determine if the action was adequate to correct the unsafe condition. SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA 
invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of 
Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information 
collection. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period 
soliciting comments on the following collection of information was 
published on September 19, 2018. Airworthiness Directives are 
regulations issued to require corrective action to resolve an unsafe 
condition in aircraft, engines, propellers, and appliances. Reports of 
inspections are often needed when emergency corrective action is taken 
to determine if the action was adequate to correct the unsafe 
condition. The respondents are aircraft owners and operators.

    Public Comments Invited: You are asked to comment on any aspect of 
this information collection, including (a) Whether the proposed 
collection of information is necessary for FAA's performance; (b) the 
accuracy of the estimated burden; (c) ways for FAA to enhance the 
quality, utility and clarity of the information collection; and (d) 
ways that the burden could be minimized without reducing the quality of 
the collected information. The agency will summarize and/or include 
your comments in the request for OMB's clearance of this information 
collection.
    OMB Control Number: 2120-0056.
    Title: Report of Inspections Required by Airworthiness Directives.
    Form Numbers: There are no FAA forms associated with this 
collection.
    Type of Review: Renewal of an information collection.
    Background: The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment 
period soliciting comments on the following collection of information 
was published on September 19, 2018 (83 FR 47397). Title 14 CFR part 
39, Airworthiness Directives (AD), authorized by Sec. Sec.  40113(a), 
44701, and 44702 of Title 49 United States Code, prescribes how the FAA 
issues ADs.
    The FAA issues ADs when an unsafe condition is discovered on a 
specific aircraft type. Specific information may be required from 
aircraft owners/operators if an unsafe condition requires more 
information to develop corrective action. If it is necessary for the 
aircraft manufacturer or airworthiness authority to evaluate the 
information, owners/operators will be instructed to send the 
information to them.
    Respondents: Approximately 1,120 aircraft owners/operators.
    Frequency: Information is collected on occasion.
    Estimated Average Burden per Response: 1 hour.
    Estimated Total Annual Burden: 28,000 hours.
