Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY:

The Plumas County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will hold a public meeting according to the details shown below. The committee is authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act (the Act) and operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). The purpose of the committee is to improve collaborative relationships and to provide advice and recommendations to the Forest Service concerning projects and funding consistent with Title II of the Act, as well as make recommendations on recreation fee proposals for sites on the Plumas National Forest within Plumas County, ( printed page 58309) consistent with the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. The meeting will be held on October 14, 2022, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time.

All RAC meetings are subject to cancellation. For status of the meeting prior to attendance, please contact the person listed under FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT .

This meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds Mineral Building, 204 Fairground Road, Quincy, California. The public may also join virtually via telephone and/or video conference. Written comments may be submitted as described under SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION . All comments, including names and addresses when provided, are placed in the record and are available for public inspection and copying. The public may inspect comments received upon request.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The purpose of the meeting is to:

1. Conduct roll call;

2. Comments from the Desigated Federal Officer (DFO);

3. Title II authorized funding;

4. Public comment period;

5. Hear from Title II project proponents and discuss Title II project proposals;

6. Make funding recommendations on Title II projects;

7. Closing comments from the DFO.

The meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include time for individuals to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should make a request in writing at least three days prior to the meeting date to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who would like to bring related matters to the attention of the committee may file written statements with the committee staff before or after the meeting. Written comments and requests for time for oral comments must be sent to Joseph Hoffman, Mount Hough Ranger District, Plumas National Forest, 39696 CA Highway 70, Quincy, CA, 95971; or by email to joseph.hoffman@usda.gov.
