SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
Background
On May 1, 2024, Commerce published the notice of initiation of the fourth sunset reviews of the
Orders,[1]
pursuant to section 751(c) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act).[2]
On May 15, 2024, Commerce received notices of intent to participate in the sunset reviews from Eramet Marietta, Inc. (Eramet), the domestic interested party, within the deadline specified in 19 CFR 351.218(d)(1)(i).[3]
Eramet stated that it is an interested party under section 771(9)(C) of the Act as a U.S. manufacturer, producer, or wholesaler of the domestic like product.[4]
( printed page 67066)
On May 30, 2024, the domestic interested party filed adequate substantive responses within the deadline specified in 19 CFR 351.218(d)(3)(i).[5]
Commerce did not receive a substantive response from any respondent interested party. As a result, pursuant to section 751(c)(3)(B) of the Act and 19 CFR 351.218(e)(1)(ii)(C)(2), Commerce conducted expedited (120-day) sunset reviews of the
Orders.
On July 22, 2024, Commerce tolled certain deadlines in these administrative proceedings by seven days.[6]
The deadline for the final results of the sunset reviews is now September 5, 2024.
