ACTION:

Notice of meetings.

SUMMARY:

This meeting notice announces the virtual meeting public components of the Healthcare Advisory Committee (HAC or Committee) for the fiscal year 2026-2027. The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Secretary of HHS and the CMS Administrator on programs and policies that can improve the United States healthcare system consistent with the Executive Order Establishing the President's Make American Healthy Again Commission. The virtual meetings are open to the public.

DATES:

The virtual meetings will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026; Monday, November 9, 2026; Monday, February 22, 2027; and Monday, May 10, 2027.

All meetings will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). The time listed in this notice is approximate. Consequently, the meeting may be longer or shorter than the times listed in this notice but will not begin before or end after the posted window of time. Please check the Committee's website for the most up-to-date information.

Deadline for comments: Comment letters must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET 2 weeks prior to the scheduled meeting date. Deadlines are therefore August 18, 2026 (for the August 31, 2026 meeting), October 26, 2026 (for the November 9, 2026 meeting), February 8, 2027 (for the February 22, 2027 meeting), and April 26, 2027 (for the May 10, 2027 meeting). Comment letters must be submitted via email as specified in the ADDRESSES section of this notice. Comment letters that are not received by the due date and time will be considered late or incomplete and may not be included in the agenda. Comment letters may not be revised once they are submitted. If a comment letter requires changes, a new submittal must be submitted by the scheduled due date.

Deadline for request for special accommodations: Requests for special accommodations must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET 2 weeks prior to the scheduled meeting dates. Deadlines are therefore August 17, 2026 (for the August 31, 2026 meeting), October 26, 2026 (for the November 9, 2026 meeting), February 8, 2027 (for the February 22, 2027 meeting), and April 26, 2027 (for the May 10, 2027 meeting).

Virtual meetings location and webinar: The meetings will be held virtually and participants do not have to register. Closed captioning will be available on the webinar. Webinar information will appear on the final meeting agendas, which will be posted on the Committee's website when available at https://www.cms.gov/​priorities/​healthcare-advisory-committee/​overview.

Virtual meeting registration: There is no planned meeting registration required for participants who plan to view the Committee meetings via webinar or for those making a public comment during the meetings. If the webinar platform changes and registration is required information will be posted on the Committee's website, and registration will also be accessible through the Committee's website.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Background

The first HAC meeting was held on May 18, 2026, and the meeting transcript and summary can be found on the Committee's website at https://www.cms.gov/​priorities/​healthcare-advisory-committee/​overview. Items and topics to be discussed during the next four meetings that will take place during the fiscal year 2026-2027 will expand on furthering the charge and introductions of the established Committee working groups, discussion of preliminary working group proposals for Committee consideration, and voting on Committee recommendations. A final and detailed agenda will be available approximately 1 week prior to the meeting dates on the Committee's website.
