This is notice of the Presidential declaration of a major disaster for the State of WEST VIRGINIA (FEMA-4953-DR), dated October 7, 2026.
Incident: Severe Storms and Flooding.
DATES:
Issued on October 7, 2026.
Incident Period: August 14, 2026 through August 18, 2026.
Physical Loan Application Deadline Date: December 7, 2026.
Economic Injury (EIDL) Loan Application Deadline Date: July 7, 2027.

Notice is hereby given as a result of the President's major disaster declaration on October 7, 2026, applications for disaster loans may be submitted online using the MySBA Loan Portal lending.sba.gov or in person at other locally announced locations. The following areas have been determined to be adversely affected by the disaster:

West Virginia: Barbour, Boone, Clay, Doddridge, Greenbrier, Jackson, Lewis, Lincoln, Marion, Nicholas, Putnam, Raleigh, Roane, Summers, Taylor, Upshur, Wetzel.
