ACTION:

Rescindment of a System of Records Notice.

SUMMARY:

Pursuant to the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, ( printed page 68146) notice is hereby given that the Farm Credit Administration (FCA or Agency) is rescinding the System of Records Notice, FCA-13—Correspondence Files—FCA. This information system is used to track incoming and outgoing correspondence, draft correspondence, and other memoranda, and is duplicative of information maintained in another system of records, FCA-5—Assignments and Communication Tracking System—FCA.

DATES:

You may send written comments on or before November 28, 2026. The proposed action will become effective without further publication on December 8, 2026, unless modified by a subsequent notice to incorporate comments received from the public.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

This publication satisfies the requirement of the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. 552a) and subsequent guidance from the Office of Management and Budget that agencies publish in the Federal Register , notice of rescission of a System of Records Notice when an agency stops maintaining a previously established system of records. A review of the System of Records Notice, FCA-13—Correspondence Files—FCA, was conducted in September of 2026. The Agency determined that a separate system for managing correspondence files is no longer necessary, as the records contained in the system are duplicative of another system of records, FCA-5—Assignments and Communication Tracking System—FCA.

As required by 5 U.S.C. 552a(r) of the Privacy Act, as amended, the FCA has sent notice of this action to the Office of Management and Budget, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the House of Representatives, and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate.
