Summary
Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), federal agencies are required to submit proposed or established reporting and recordkeeping requirements to OMB for review and approval, and to publish a notice in the Federal Register notifying the public that the Agency will make such a submission. The information collection activity involved with this program is conducted pursuant to the mandate given to the United States Information Agency (USIA) under the terms and conditions of E.O. 10450 and 12968. USIA is requesting approval for a three-year extension of an information collection entitled ``Overseas Activities Data'', under OMB control number 3116-0014 which expires March 31, 1999. Estimated burden hours per response is thirty (.50) minutes.

Comments are due on or before February 16, 1999.
Copies: Copies of the Request for Clearance (OMB 83-I), supporting statement, and other documents that will be submitted to OMB for approval may be obtained from the USIA Clearance Officer. Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average thirty minutes per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
