Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area Advisory Council

ACTION: Notice of Annual Meeting.

SUMMARY: This notice announces the annual meeting of the Boston Harbor 
Islands National Recreation Area Advisory Council (Council). The agenda 
includes results of the Council survey, planning for the 20th 
anniversary of the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, the 
National Park Service (NPS) Centennial, and the Boston Light 
Tricentennial in 2016, and membership of and planning for the next 
steps for the Council. Superintendent Giles Parker will also give 
updates about park operations and planning efforts.

DATES: September 9, 2015, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Eastern).

    The Council was appointed by the Director of the National Park 
Service pursuant to 16 U.S.C. 460kkk(g). The purpose of the Council is 
to advise and make recommendations to the Boston Harbor Islands

park operations. Efforts have been made locally to ensure that the 
interested public is aware of the meeting dates.
