In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the DoD Consolidated Adjudications Facility Privacy Act Office announces a proposed public information collection and seeks public comment on the provisions thereof. AGENCY: Consolidated Adjudications Facility, DoD.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the 
DoD Consolidated Adjudications Facility Privacy Act Office announces a 
proposed public information collection and seeks public comment on the 
provisions thereof. Comments are invited on: (a) Whether the proposed 
collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of 
the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall 
have practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the agency's estimate of 
the burden of the proposed information collection; (c) ways to enhance 
the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; 
and (d) ways to minimize the burden of the information collection on 
respondents, including through the use of automated collection 
techniques or other forms of information technology.

    Needs and Uses: The information collection requirement is necessary 
to ensure needed information is collected to positively identify 
individuals who request records regarding themselves that are 
maintained by the DoD Consolidated Adjudications Facility. These 
records will also be used in any Privacy Act appeals or related 
litigation. The Law Enforcement, Congressional Inquiries, Department of 
Justice for Litigation, National Archives and Records Administration, 
and Data Breach Remediation, and Routine Uses found at http://dpcld.defense.gov/Privacy/SORNsIndex/BlanketRoutineUses.aspx. The DoD 
Consolidated Adjudications Facility Request for Records form will also 
be used to refer records under the release authority of another Federal 
Agency.

file. If the form is not included in the case file, individuals
