AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and

SUMMARY: The New England Fishery Management Council (Council) is 
scheduling a public meeting of its Whiting Committee on January 21, 
2016 to consider actions affecting New England fisheries in the 
exclusive economic zone (EEZ). Recommendations from this group will be 
brought to the full Council for formal consideration and action, if 
appropriate.

DATES: This meeting will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10 
a.m.

Agenda

    The Committee will review Amendment 22 scoping comments and develop 
recommendations for the range of issues to be addressed by the 
amendment. The Council will then approve the scope of the amendment at 
its January Council meeting. The Committee will also review and discuss 
PDT recommendations for five-year Council research priorities. Other 
business may be discussed if time permits.
