SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: NACOSH meeting: NACOSH will meet Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in Washington, DC. NACOSH meetings are open to the public. Some NACOSH members may attend the meeting by teleconference. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act) (29 U.S.C. 651, 656) established NACOSH to advise, consult with and make recommendations to the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Health and Human Services on matters relating to the administration of the OSH Act. NACOSH is a continuing advisory committee of indefinite duration. NACOSH operates in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) (5 U.S.C. App. 2), its implementing regulations (41 CFR part 102-3), and OSHA's regulations on NACOSH (29 CFR part 1912a). [[Page 86018]] The tentative agenda for the NACOSH meeting includes:An update from the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on key OSHA initiatives; Remarks from the Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health; Consideration of draft regulatory text that the NACOSH Emergency Response and Preparedness Subcommittee developed. OSHA transcribes and prepares detailed minutes of NACOSH meetings. NACOSH Work Group meeting: The NACOSH OSH Professionals Pipeline Work Group will meet Tuesday, December 13, 2016. The meeting is open to the public. The purpose of the meeting is to continue discussions on promoting careers in occupational safety and health and growing the next generation of OSH professionals. The work group will also hear from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health about their related programs and initiatives.
