AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice of petition for exemption received.

SUMMARY: This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief 
from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. The 
purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and 
participation in, this aspect of the FAA's regulatory activities. 
Neither publication of this notice nor the inclusion or omission of 
information in the summary is intended to affect the legal status of 
the petition or its final disposition.

Petition for Exemption

    Description of Relief Sought: The petitioner seeks an exemption 
from the requirements of 14 CFR 25.981(a)(3) at Amendment 25-125, with 
respect to fuel tank ignition prevention for Models BD-700-2A12 (Global 
7000) and BD-700-2A13 (Global 8000) business jets. This petition is 
made in accordance with FAA Policy PS-ANM-25.981-02 dated June 24, 
2014, providing alternate requirements in lieu of full compliance to 
ensure that an acceptable level of safety is provided.
