SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This ICR seeks PRA authority for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Wave 4 Surveys information collection to study the FMLA by conducting a fourth round of nationally representative surveys of employees and employers covered by the provisions of the FMLA. The survey findings will update and expand upon the knowledge gained from the earlier survey waves. Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016, division H, title I, section 107 authorizes this information collection. See Public Law 114-113, division H, title I, section 107. This proposed information collection is subject to the PRA. A Federal agency generally cannot conduct or sponsor a collection of information, and the public is generally not required to respond to an information collection, unless it is approved by the OMB under the PRA and displays a currently valid OMB Control Number. In addition, notwithstanding any other provisions of law, no person shall generally be subject to penalty for failing to comply with a collection of information if the collection of information does not display a valid Control Number.
