SUMMARY: In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, 
this notice announces that the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), 
Department of Veterans Affairs, will submit the collection of 
information abstracted below to the Office of Management and Budget 
(OMB) for review and comment. The PRA submission describes the nature 
of the information collection and its expected cost and burden; it 
includes the actual data collection instrument.

DATES: Comments must be submitted on or before November 9, 2017.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

    Authority: 38 U.S.C. 3485.

    Title: Time Record (Work-Study Program), (VA Form 22-8960).
    OMB Control Number: 2900-0379.
    Type of Review: Revision of a currently approved collection.
    Abstract: VA Form 22-8960 is a time sheet report used by a 
supervisor and an eligible individual to record and report the number 
of hours completed by the trainee. The form should be submitted after 
the trainee completes at least 50 hours of work. VA uses the data 
collected to ensure that the amount of benefits payable to a claimant 
who is pursuing work-study is correct.
    An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required 
to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a 
currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 
60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of 
information was published at 82 FR 64 on April 5, 2017, page 16665.
    Affected Public: State, Local or Tribal Governments.
    Estimated Annual Burden: 6,275 hours.
    Estimated Average Burden per Respondent: 5 minutes.
    Frequency of Response: Annually.
    Estimated Number of Respondents: 75,306.
