SUMMARY: The Department of Labor (DOL) is submitting the Occupational 
Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sponsored information 
collection request (ICR) proposal titled, ``Safe + Sound Campaign,'' to 
the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval for 
use in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995. 
Public comments on the ICR are invited.

DATES: The OMB will consider all written comments that agency receives 
on or before May 16, 2018.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This ICR seeks PRA authority for the Safe + 
Sound Campaign information collection. The OSHA established the Safe + 
Sound Campaign as a voluntary effort to support the implementation of 
safety and health programs in businesses throughout the United States. 
The Campaign includes period activities and events, ranging from 
regular email updates to quarterly national webinars to local meetings 
to an annual national stand down, designed to increase overall employer 
and employee awareness and understanding of safety and health programs 
and promote employer adoption of these programs. To gain information 
needed to support this effort, the OSHA is proposing to survey, and in 
some cases interview, those participating in the Campaign activities. 
The goal of the information collection is to understand and respond to 
the needs of participants and publicly highlight outcomes to enhance 
the effectiveness of the Campaign. Occupation Safety and

Health Act of 1970 section 21 authorizes this information collection. 
See 29 U.S.C. 670.
    This proposed information collection is subject to the PRA. A 
Federal agency generally cannot conduct or sponsor a collection of 
information, and the public is generally not required to respond to an 
information collection, unless it is approved by the OMB under the PRA 
and displays a currently valid OMB Control Number. In addition, 
notwithstanding any other provisions of law, no person shall generally 
be subject to penalty for failing to comply with a collection of 
information if the collection of information does not display a valid 
Control Number. See 5 CFR 1320.5(a) and 1320.6. For additional

information to be collected; and
     Minimize the burden of the collection of information on
