By virtue of the authority vested in the Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs by the laws of the United States, under the Visa Bond Program, in 22 CFR 41.11(c)(3), I hereby delegate to the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Visa Services, to the extent authorized by law, the authority to waive the visa bond requirement for an alien, country, or category of aliens, by determining that such a waiver is not contrary to the national interest of the United States. This delegation of authority is intended to be implemented to the extent authorized by law, including that the authority must be exercised by an Officer of the United States.

The Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs may exercise any function or authority delegated by this delegation.

This Delegation of Authority will be published in the Federal Register .
